FULL NAME: Charlotte Anne Baxter. Charlie to the people who matter and the barista who can never spell it right.
AGE: 43.
OCCUPATION: Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian. Owner, Serendipity Animal Emergency Clinic. Open 24 hours. 7 days a week. She has not taken a full week off since she opened it.
APPEARANCE: Shoulder-length brown hair that frizzes the moment humidity looks at it sideways. Freckles. Sleeve tattoos both arms. Beat up sneakers. Almost always in scrubs. Covered in animal hair 100% of the time.
This is not an exaggeration. This is a documented fact.
ANIMALS: Bernie, Benny, Burford and Magnolia... four Newfoundlands. Winston the feisty orange cat. Senator, a dwarf hamster whose actuarial outlook I am not prepared to discuss publicly.
EDUCATION: University of Washington for her B.S. Animal Sciences. NC State University for her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Emergency Medicine Residency, Portland. Moved to Serendipity at 33... for the yard. Four Newfoundlands require a bit of space to muck about.
HISTORY: Pacific Northwest native. Mostly absent family, instead she built her own. Several almost-relationships. Nothing stuck. Most ended when she described something medical over dinner, 86% of the time Charlie would be discussing parasites, particularly worms.
QUIRK: Spontaneous accent disorder. Involuntary. However, she has produced British RP, Southern US, Australian and one occasion she described as pirate-adjacent. She is mortified every time. It has not stopped. Not entirely sure she can.
VOLUNTEERS: Friday story time. The Novel Approach. 4pm. Late every single week. The children don't care. The parents are 70% horrified by her sound effects and 30% impressed. She considers this a success.
